Our officers featured in KCRA 3 & TIME
Featured
FeaturedSummit Force officer Brandon Muse was quoted by TIME on the state of America's private security industry, and worked the Citrus Heights arson response covered by KCRA 3. That's the caliber of officer standing your post.
“I've had gun lasers and guns pointed at me… all for $16 an hour.”

KCRA 3 — on-scene coverage
Click to enlargeCitrus Heights Arson: Suspects Arrested
KCRA 3, June 13, 2016 — the on-post security officer's report and suspect descriptions led police straight to both arrests. That's what a real patrol write-up is worth.

We helped Citrus Heights PD catch the arson crew
A string of fires was being set all over Citrus Heights — dumpsters, fences, and structures — causing serious property damage and putting families at risk. Our officer Brandon Muse was on duty at the Costco post when he spotted two suspects leaving the area right after a fire started.
Instead of shrugging it off, he stayed on it: locked in accurate suspect and clothing descriptions, direction of travel, and timeline, then called it straight in to Citrus Heights Police and stayed available as a witness. That report is what officers used to identify and arrest the two 19-year-olds accused of setting the fires — the case KCRA 3 covered.
That's the difference between a warm body in a chair and a trained, BSIS-registered Summit Force officer who actually watches, documents, and reports.

Guarding people.
Not just property.
Summit Force Security Group is a Sacramento-based, community-first security company. Compassion is the job description: outreach on post, help at the curb, and scholarships that put local people to work.
Compassionate.Not bullies.
Plenty of guard companies lead with intimidation. We lead with humanity — visible presence, respectful contact, and real investment in the neighborhoods we protect.

A shopper at a grocery store account called management just to commend our officer for helping clean up a knocked-over produce display — “so nice to see security not just standing there for once, but helping out.” That is the standard.

Daniel Mays
PPO #122730 · BSIS/DCA licensed
Daniel Mays has worked private security since 2015, standing posts at retail, grocery, warehouse and event sites across the Sacramento region. In 2020 he launched his first security company, and today he leads Summit Force Security Group from its Sacramento headquarters.
Coaching is one thing — the post is only as good as the person standing it. His officers are trained to be seen, be helpful and be accountable.
Off the clock, Daniel leads the company's community work: feeding the homeless and giving out small scholarships that put underprivileged youth through the 40-hour guard card course and training — turning a job that changed his life into a door for someone else.
“Coaching is one thing — but if we're in the community, we'd better be good to the community.”
Feeding the homeless
Our team runs and supports meal drives across the Sacramento region — the same streets we patrol.
Guard-card scholarships
We fund small scholarships so underprivileged youth can complete the 40-hour BSIS guard card and training.
De-escalation first
We are not bullies with badges. Officers are trained to serve, help and defuse — force is the last resort.
